    FUNDRAISING UPDATE

  • New Year's Day Draw

BF had a meeting with DG and GT to discuss the New Year's Day Draw. 1000 books of 5 tickets have been ordered and delivered. Raffle tickets have started to be sold today, 1 November 2008 at the Histon game. Thanks to GT for organising the production of the tickets. STAR money will pay for the tickets.

IJ will co-ordinate all ticket sales and the money that comes in. We discussed which % of tickets would be distributed to the different groups of people. It was agreed to distribute as follows:

  • Players - Stuart Coburn to look after - 100 books
  • Youth Team - Gareth Thomas to look after - 100 books
  • Directors/Board - Grahame Rowley to look after - 100 books
  • Bucket Collection/Bar - Gary Warrington to look after
  • Shop - Louise Gregory to look after - 100 books
  • Front Door - Dave Johnson to look after
  • Altrincham Juniors - Darren Gregory - to liaise with Altrincham Juniors

It was agreed not to sell them in the Sponsors' Lounge. If people want to take books of raffle tickets home, to sell to work or family etc, it was OK, we just need a list of names, addresses and how many books have been taken. If anybody who lives far away wouldlike tickets, they could send a cheque.

    Old Fashioned Football Shirts

GT has been finding out about 'Old Fashioned Football Shirts'. This idea won't make a lot of money, but will increase awareness. GT is going to discuss this with Lisa Jones. We wouldn't want it to impact on sales of the current Altrincham shirts.

    Bag 2 the Future

The bags will hopefully delivered next week (w/c 3 November 2008). Bags will be given out at the Cambridge game. Bag 2 the future will pick up the full bags 1 December 2008. We are asking for supporters to bring back their full bags on Sunday 31 November 2008 between 10am-2pm.

    Poker Nights

The company who organises these events will set everything up. Half of the money raised on the night will go to the organisers and half to the Football Club. MA is looking into this further.

    CHALLENGING OBJECTIVES

The Supporters' Club would like to make £6,000 by the end of the 2008/2009 season and £10,000 by the end of the year (2009). If £10,000 is raised by the end of 2009 that would be great. We will monitor this and if needed we will reduce the target. We are hoping to raise £2,000 from the New Year Draw.

    ANY OTHER BUSINESS

  • Fixture Posters: Thanks to CA for the fixture posters he has designed. These are to be distributed today, for people to take and put up in pubs or their workplace. It will also be available on the fans forum & the club website and a new one will be available at the beginning of the New Year.

  • TASC Logo Competition: BF to speak to The Messenger to see if it is possible for them to design one.

  • PUB CRAWL: GT suggested the 23 November (lunchtime and afternoon). This will be an awareness event, handing out leaflets. GT to phone pubs and let them know we will be coming, and to see if it is OK to hand out leaflets. Try and get 20+ people to maybe go round in 2 groups. GT to put an appeal on the fans forum. We will also wear club colours.

    BANK ACCOUNTS

For the short term we will use STAR accounts. IJ to speak to Tom Jacobs re the SAFE Account and Paul Daine re the STAR Account.
